PREPARE FOR your first class
-
Getting started is easy!
Simply choose your nearest Reformer Factory studio and purchase one of our Intro Offers.
Once you've signed up, you can book your first class, download our app to manage your bookings, and we'll guide you through everything when you arrive.Whether you're completely new to Pilates or returning after a break, we're here to make your first experience feel easy, welcoming and enjoyable.
-
Simply arrive 5–10 minutes early, and one of our instructors will welcome you, show you around the studio, explain how the Reformer works (if you're attending a Reformer class), and answer any questions you have before you get started.
There's no need to book a tour or attend an introduction session before your first class. Before class begins, we'll check you into the class and take a few minutes to chat about any injuries, pregnancies or concerns so we can provide the right modifications and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the session.
If you're brand new to Pilates, we recommend booking one of our Lite (beginner-friendly) classes. These classes are designed to help you build confidence, learn the fundamentals and get comfortable with the equipment before progressing into our other classes.
-
Arrive 5-10 minutes early for your orientation.
You'll join up to 18 participants in our Reformer studio or up to 20 participants in our Mat studio for a 45-minute full-body class led by one of our experienced instructors. Each class begins with a gentle warm-up to prepare your body for movement before flowing into a full-body workout focused on building strength, improving core stability and enhancing posture. Every session finishes with a mindful cool-down and stretch, leaving you feeling stronger, more mobile and refreshed.
Throughout the class, your instructor will provide options to make exercises easier or more challenging by adjusting your pace, spring tension or adding extra movement layers. We encourage you to move at your own pace and choose the option that feels right for your body on the day- you'll never be expected to keep up with anyone else.
Our instructors are there to guide you every step of the way, so if you're unsure about anything, just ask—we're always happy to help.

We generally recommend starting with 2–3 classes per week to build consistency, improve strength and become familiar with the movements.
From there, it really depends on your goals, lifestyle and how your body feels. Some members enjoy one class a week to complement their existing routine, while others attend four or more classes because they love how it makes them feel.
There's no one-size-fits-all approach. The best routine is one that fits your lifestyle, supports your goals and leaves you feeling good. Our instructors are always happy to help you find a schedule that's right for you.

es – with a few important guidelines to ensure your safety and the safety of your baby.
For complete information, please see our Prenatal Class & Pregnancy Policy, which outlines everything you need to know before attending.
During pregnancy
From 12 weeks' gestation, you may attend our prenatal-friendly classes only (no exceptions).
Hot Mat, Hot Yoga and sauna sessions are not suitable during pregnancy.
You'll need to provide written clearance from your GP, obstetrician or women's health physiotherapist before attending classes.
Please also check in with your instructor before every class so they can support you with any modifications.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept new pregnant clients beyond 18 weeks' gestation into our group classes. Pregnancy can bring significant changes from this point onwards, and for the safety of everyone in class, we require members to have prior Pilates experience with us before continuing beyond 18 weeks.
Returning after pregnancy
You'll need to receive 6–8 week postnatal clearance from your healthcare provider before returning to class.
We recommend easing back into exercise by starting with our RF Lite classes before progressing to other class styles.

It depends on your injury, surgery and stage of recovery.
While many people can safely participate in group Pilates, there are some injuries and post-surgical conditions that may not be suitable for a group class environment, as certain movements could aggravate your condition or delay healing.
If you're unsure, we recommend speaking with your treating healthcare professional first. In some cases, Clinical Pilates may be a better option, as sessions can be tailored specifically to your rehabilitation needs.
If you'd like some guidance before booking, please get in touch with our team. We're always happy to chat through your situation and help you determine whether our classes are the right fit for you.
